Shop Manager Introduction
Owner Michio Kurihara was born in Tokyo in 1968. After graduating from Horikoshi High School, I worked as a breadmaker, managed a Mos Burger (One of large franchiesee branch), and in 1996 My first stepped foot in New Zealand on as a working holiday!
In 2001 after receiving permanent resident visa, I decided that I should open my own ramen shop in Auckland, so I temporary returned to Japan to be a master, and trained how to work at a ramen shop. It was my first encounter with "Sanchin" Ramen shop, which is closest ramen shop from my home, became a very important part of my life.
Then, in February of 2005 I started the company called Blue Horizon Restaurant Ltd, and in August of the same year opened Tanpopo Ramen with my partner.
After that, amidst numerous supportive part time workers and the cycle of meetings and farewells, in July of 2009 my partner left the company. I am currently working like mad with just two employees!!!!
By the way, my hobby is scuba diving.
